Samsung LN46D630 BEST PRICE, Excellent HDTV.
Before purchasing this TV I bought a 51" plasma (samsung PN51D530). What can I say, the extra few inches enticed me. Took the TV home and the glare was too much (plasma's have a REAL glass front). So I took the plasma back and bought this TV. In comparison this TV is absolutely great! Way better than the plasma, better picture, better colors, brighter, etc. It even has deeper blacks (this is one area where plasmas are actually supposed to be superior). I love this TV and the extra few inches that are gone are not that noticeable.

This item arrived in good shape via FedEx, although the box had a few tears, scuff marks, and a large puncture--fortunately not in front or behind the the LCD panel!
With minimal adjustments, I've been able to obtain an amazing picture with good colors, brightness, and contrast. This set will automatically adjust screen brightness according to lighting in your room, which I found resulted at times in a picture too dim or somewhat "washed out." However,this is easily corrected by turning off the energy savings and eco sensor settings under "Eco Solution" in Menu. I, also, found that a one-notch adjustment to dynamic contrast and black tones, produced a more vibrant image with sufficient shadow details. Just take care that you don't ramp up too high on settings such as brightness, backlight, and contrast unless you want to lessen the life-expectancy of the CCFL backlight bulbs.
On-board sound system is acceptable, although I prefer my external hookup. "Auto-volume" is really nice, because it keeps sound levels more constant and no need to hit the "mute" button on the remote when loud TV commercials come along.

Samsung LN46D630 CYBER MONDAY, Great bang for your buck!
The Samsung LN46D630 is the top of the line 120Hz LCD that Samsung offers. Since I'm not hanging the TV, I decided to save some money and go with the LCD over LED. The picture is truly amazing. Prior to purchasing, I went to a store to see the quality in real life and the vivid colors easily made this unit stand out from the other competitors. This has all the connections you should ever need for video and audio.
Some cool things I've noticed is that with OTA antenna, you get program information and a TV guide. Also the TV seems to pick up more channels with the rabbit ears than my 4 yr old Samsung 65F series. The set also has numerous controls to change the picture/sound quality to your precise calibration. It also has a built in media player so you can play movies/music/pictures via USB. The media player plays just about any format you need.
One thing that got me though is how it was shipped. I thought it was going to be delivered with Amazon's "white glove service" but it was sent to my apartment by FedEx. Perhaps it was because I used Prime shipping. The box showed some damage, but the LCD seems fine and hasn't had issues in the 2 weeks that I've used it.
